Search
It's one of the side effects of not really being a search engine company and seems to fly in the face of Sergey Brin's Google rule #1: "Don't be evil". But part of being not-evil is that you have to incur liability over and above that which your counsel recommends as the safest path -- just as a shop-owner can't reasonably ask all her customers to submit to a strip-search to contain shoplifting liability, Google shouldn't ask all its users to submit to an unreasonable restriction on their speech in order to contain the spread of negative information about its service. For his efforts, he received a $350 check from Internet search giant Google. "AdSense has nothing to do with search. How it works Google and Yahoo dominate the booming online search advertising business, which is expected to grow to $millions. Profit from searc advertising enabled Google to more than double its revenue in 2004, to $millions. The concept — text ads that appear next to search results — works on a "pay-per-click" model. Those are the terms people type into query boxes when they're searching, such as "Atlanta wedding photographer" or "Omaha Italian restaurants. "The search advertising market is red hot right now, and publishers and advertisers want more," says Kanoodle CEO Lance Podell. Many of the leading SEO gurus have sites that have been banned from the top listings by the search engines. It seems the more visible you become, the more of a target your sites are to the search engine auditors. If you are in the search engine business stay search engine neutral, or create multiple sites for different search engines. I don't know if your realize it or not, but the sites making the real big AdSense money usually have a following that doesn't depend on the search engines. If you do a search on most keywords you will notice many of the top ranking sites are news sites,. AdSense ads are just like the AdWords ads you see on the right-handside of a Google search results page. It boils down to this, ifyour web page or website for that matter is not in tune to what Search Engines are looking for then your site may not be found. This Sandbox Effect is a hot topicwhich still causes some debate among those interested in search engines and search engine optimization.

Blogspotting Adsense: Is it worth bothering with. Within this weblog, this entry belongs in the Advertising & marketing, Business, Fighting the man, Google categories and was published in October 2003. First, because AdSense is a very simple and proven solution that already pays for hundreds of thousands of blogs/websites accross the world. Finally, because the ads will be contexual, i-e they will be relevant to the content of your blog/site. Then follow the provided instructions to put a little javascript snippet onto your blog skin or any web page you like. When visitors view your site they see contextual text ads that automatically adjust to the contents of each page / blog post so that they are always relevant. Get ready for a monthly check from Google ;) Will it ruin my blog design. How do I integrate AdSense into my blog. How do I integrate AdSense into my blog without the plugin. You just copy/paste the AdSense code from Google into your blog template. Also, I’ve heard some people in the industry that Google pays stand-alone bloggers only 25% to 40% of each Adsense click, but gives bigger players 60% to 70%. The conclusion, if this is true, is that it might pay off for small fry on the blogs to organize into larger networks—or to sign on with networks such as Burst Media. Most blogs 99% have less than 100 subscribers/visitors per day. The thing that's really magical about AdSense is that the ads are targeted to the specific topic of the blog entry, rather than just generically to the ostensible topic of the weblog. This means that the ads are better, less disruptive, and, yes, are more likely to be clicked and therefore generate higher quality traffic for the advertiser and more revenue for the blogger. Remember, also, that it's not about subscribers, but about the findability of your blog articles after the fact. that's where your highest quality readers come from because they're looking for exactly what you're writing about on your blog. However, I cannot speak from experience when it comes to potential revenue numbers with these alternative solutions in respect to blog sites. The bigger question is "is the blog format compatible with Adsense. Obviously, you are not going to make money if the blog format and adsense are not compatible. And, with the popular blog software most of the A-list bloggers are using, a large percentage of their text has changing urls. Simply creating a blog and sticking Adsense on it, won't get it done.
AdSense is underpinned by Google's AdWords system and in short, if you know how to get high paying AdWords ads on your site, you will get ads on your site that pay you a lot per click.
